This position is responsible for all aspects of the injury prevention, outreach and educational components of the trauma program.
As a key member of the multidisciplinary trauma team, this person identifies and analyzes injury and outcome trends to develop programs consistent with trauma center objectives which include: Educating the community and health care professionals about injury prevention and trauma care.Raising the visibility of WCHOB Trauma Center through increasing public awareness and community outreach activities. The position will incorporate criteria outlined in the most current American College of Surgeons Resource Document for the Optimal Care of the Injured Patient; Level 1 Recommendations; as it pertains to injury prevention, outreach and education regarding trauma patients.
Associate of Applied Science Healthcare related field required. Higher level degrees in healthcare accepted. Education level must be at least a minimum of an Associates degree. 2 years of experience in Trauma critical care or pediatric critical care nurse preferred. 2 years of experience in Creating and presenting successful educational or informational programs required. 2 years of experience in public speaking inclusive of excellent oral and written communication skills required.
