In collaboration with the Trauma Program leadership, is responsible for the coordination and facilitation of the Trauma Performance Improvement Program, which encompasses all areas and disciplines of the hospital that participate in the care of admitted injured patients. Provides coordination and facilitation of performance improvement data collection, analysis, trending and benchmarking of data and outcomes. Participates in Trauma Registry data analysis. Collaborates closely with Trauma Program leadership to assure compliance with trauma standards, National Trauma Data Bank (NTDB), and MN Trauma Registry guidelines.
License / Certification: MN RN license/certification in field. Current certification in BLS, PALS, TNCC preferred.
Education: Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred.
Experience: At least 2 years trauma clinical experience required- pediatric trauma experience preferred. Experience in data analysis and performance improvement.
Skills: Knowledge of Performance Improvement principles required. Strong analytical skills required. Knowledge of Trauma Registries, ICD-10-CM coding preferred. Computer literacy required. Strong knowledge of technology and software applications preferred. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal) required. Ability to work independently, as well as work with diverse multi-disciplinary groups to collaborate effectively. Strong public speaking skills preferred. Requires the ability to transport self independently throughout medical facility and to off-site locations.
