Responsible for the overall implementation, management, supervision, evaluation of the trauma program in accordance with the American College of Surgeons (ACS) standards, North Dakota Department of Health/Trauma standards and Trinity’s vision, mission, and values.

This position serves under the critical care division of nursing and Director of Critical Care.

Job Responsibilities

  • Licenses and Certifications Required
    • Current or temporary RN license in ND or compact RN licensure.
    • Verified as a TNCC Provider and Instructor, preferred.
    • Membership in professional trauma organizations.
  • Educational Requirements
    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred.
    • Knowledge of ICD-9, AIS and ISS coding, preferred.
    • A minimum of 16 hours of external trauma-related continuing education per year.
  • Experience Requirements
    • Minimum of 3-5 years clinical experience as an RN, trauma or critical care preferred.
    • Leadership/management skills, preferred.
    • Excel and Microsoft Office applications proficiency.
  • Special Skills or Training Requirements
    • Able to work independently.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely through written and verbal communication.
    • Detail-oriented and an aptitude for accuracy.
    • Ability to utilize critical thinking skills to problem-solve.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
    • Ability to meet deadlines; ensuring accuracy and reliability.
