The Trauma Registry Coordinator is responsible for providing a variety of technical, administrative and clerical support and coordination of activities and projects.
This position works closely with the Trauma Medical Director, Trauma Operations Manager, Trauma Program Manager, and Trauma Case Managers. Work situations are highly varied, as organization priorities shift, and require a detailed-oriented person with technical expertise in the use of computers and PC software, strong interpersonal and organization skills, decision making, and discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive organizational and patient information. Independent thinking, judgment, and decision-making skills are required within the scope of the position responsibilities.
Three years secretarial experience. Two years relevant experience in a business or health care setting. Two years experience in computer spreadsheet and software applications.
Post high school course work in computer science and or applications and post high school vocational secretarial training.
AA Degree preferred in business or related field. American Trauma Society Registrar Certification.
