By Trauma News on January 29, 2025 Program Management

The American College of Surgeons now requires all verified trauma centers to have screening and referral processes in place to meet the mental health needs of trauma patients. This is unfamiliar territory for many trauma program leaders, and implementing an effective mental health support program requires careful planning.

“How to Collaborate with Hospital Social Workers to Meet the Mental Health Needs of Trauma Patients” explores ways to create a structured approach to providing mental health support to the trauma patient population.
