State legislators in Florida who responded to a recent Tampa Bay Times survey overwhelming support three measures designed to reign in trauma activation fees. Suggested measures include requiring the state to analyze and publish hospitals’ trauma activation fees, requiring hospitals to base fees on actual trauma center costs, and capping activation fees.
