Trauma Program Manager Mentorship program brings new TPMs up to speed fast

0
By Trauma News on August 17, 2017 Training

Many new trauma program managers have excellent clinical skills, but little or no management experience. They need help understanding their new administrative responsibilities. Even experienced TPMs may need extra guidance when preparing for a verification review.

If you face these challenges, the solution is remote mentoring from Pomphrey Consulting. Our Trauma Program Manager Mentorship program is designed to provide a solid foundation for new TPMs and an in-depth review for experienced program leaders.

Participants receive personalized guidance during weekly calls with a trauma program expert. In addition, live and recorded presentations give you an in-depth understanding of key issues in trauma program leadership, including staff management, communication with surgeons, TQIP, registry and coding, and program verification.

The program provides an in-depth, chapter-by-chapter review of Resources for Optimal Care of the Injured Patient, 2014 (aka “the Orange Book”), including all updates and clarifications. Your preceptor will help you complete a Trauma Prep Spreadsheet that identifies all your program’s criteria deficiencies and outlines practical steps to full compliance.

This program provides foundational instruction for all new trauma program managers — and vital guidance for any TPM preparing for a site visit. To find out more, contact us today.
