The world of trauma data management is undergoing a historic shift from traditional registry software platforms to advanced data systems. These new systems open up new possibilities for elevating data quality and using data to improve trauma care — but they also require trauma program leaders and trauma data professionals to acquire new knowledge, gain new skills and take on a new mindset.
Back for its second year, the 2026 Virtual Summit on Trauma Data Management will be a one-day online conference focused on helping trauma teams navigate the coming transition to advanced trauma data systems.
Trauma System News is seeking trauma professionals who want to share their insights and solutions for updating trauma registry processes, using new tools to elevate trauma data quality, and leveraging enhanced data to improve trauma patient care and trauma center operations.
We are looking for presentations that address the following issues:
How is your team using AI, data analytics, business intelligence software, data visualization systems or other advanced tools to streamline data capture and generate more useful trauma data?
As newer systems reduce abstraction times, how are you refocusing registry staff on advanced skills and/or advanced roles?
What have you learned about planning and executing the migration from a legacy trauma registry system to an advanced SaaS trauma data platform?
What are your strategies for onboarding registry staff, improving registry team efficiency or increasing registry staff retention?
If your team has developed any initiative or process change that streamlines data capture and/or improves data quality, share it with your colleagues in the world of trauma data.
Presentations should be 1 hour in length, and each presentation may include up to 2 speakers. Individuals are welcome to submit multiple proposals.
Proposals should include complete speaker information, a presentation title and summary, learning objectives, and a description of any tools or resources that will be provided to attendees. (For complete details, see the Presentation Proposal Form below.)
The deadline for submissions is December 15, 2025. Proposals will be evaluated for overall quality, practical value and contribution to a balanced program. The Virtual Summit on Trauma Data Management will take place on February 25, 2026.
Accepted presenters will receive an honorarium ($300 for solo presenters, $200 per person for two-presenter teams) as well as complimentary registration for the Virtual Summit.
