By Trauma News on January 13, 2026 Trauma Nursing

Do you know a certified trauma or burn nurse who deserves to be recognized for excellence in specialty nursing practice and support for specialty nursing certification?

Nominations are now open for the Distinguished TCRN Award and the Distinguished CBRN Award from the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN).

These awards are presented annually to a Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN) and a Certified Burn Registered Nurse (CBRN) who demonstrate a record of distinguished specialty nursing excellence and exceptional or innovative advocacy for nursing specialty certification.

BCEN also offers distinguished nurse awards for certified nurses in the emergency, pediatric emergency, flight and critical care ground transport specialty areas.

To nominate a colleague or yourself for the Distinguished TCRN award, the Distinguished CBRN Award or another BCEN specialty nurse award, visit the award nomination page.

Nominations will be accepted through February 20, and winners will be announced in late April.
