By Trauma News on June 9, 2020 News Updates

The Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN) has announced that nominations for its annual National Certification Champion Award will be accepted through July 3, 2020.

The National Certification Champion Award recognizes employers committed to emergency nursing excellence through board certification. Eligible organizations include trauma centers, Emergency Departments, transport bases or systems, hospitals and health systems.

Candidates for the award are employers of BCEN-certified emergency, transport and/or trauma nurses that encourage, support, recognize and advance emergency nursing specialty certification. The award recognizes organizations that have developed innovative programs benefitting nurse, patient and organizational outcomes.

Winners will be selected in each of three, size-based award categories — small healthcare facility, large healthcare facility and health system. Winners will be recognized this fall.
