CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS:
The Virtual Summit on Trauma Systems
Organized trauma systems are key to improving care and outcomes for injured patients. However, most state and regional trauma systems today face a range of challenges — from optimizing patient transfer processes and managing regional trauma registries, to ensuring an adequate EMS workforce and securing adequate overall funding.
The Virtual Summit on Trauma Systems will be a one-day online conference highlighting solutions and success stories from state and regional trauma systems across the U.S.
The goal of this conference is to identify what’s working in trauma system organization and management and disseminate best practices to system leadership teams.
We are seeking trauma system leaders and stakeholders at any level who are willing to share the initiatives, strategies and programs that are helping their state or regional trauma system overcome the obstacles to effective system performance.
We are looking for presentations on:
• Optimizing patient transfer systems
• Managing trauma data at the state/regional level
• Securing trauma system funding
• Ensuring an adequate EMS workforce
• Implementing pre-hospital whole blood
• Supporting rural trauma centers and community hospitals
• Effective disaster preparedness
• Managing injury prevention at the regional level
Presentations should be 1 hour in length, and each presentation may include up to 2 speakers. Individuals are welcome to submit multiple proposals.
Proposals should include complete speaker information, a presentation title and summary, learning objectives, and a description of any tools or resources that will be provided to attendees. (For complete details, see the Presentation Proposal Form below.)
The deadline for submissions is August 7, 2026. Proposals will be evaluated for overall quality, practical value and contribution to a balanced program. Accepted presenters will be notified by August 17. The Virtual Summit on Trauma Systems will take place on October 28, 2026.
Accepted presenters will receive an honorarium ($300 for solo presenters, $200 per person for two-presenter teams) as well as complimentary registration for the Virtual Summit.
Share your knowledge. Turn your experience into an educational session that will help your colleagues improve state and regional systems of care for injured patients. To submit a proposal, fill out the form below:
