Colorado Canyons receives Level IV designation

Colorado Canyons Hospital & Medical Center in Fruita, Colo., was recently designated as a Level IV trauma center by the Colorado Department of Public Health.

Colorado Canyons is part of the state’s Northwest Regional Emergency Medical and Trauma Advisory Council. The hospital is approximately 10 miles northwest of Grand Junction, location of St. Mary’s Hospital, a Level II trauma center.

The trauma team at Colorado Canyons includes Dr. Scott Vincent (trauma director), Dr. Joseph Kupets (medical director) and Rhonda Miller, RN (emergency department director). Read More
