ACS seeks comments on Level IV trauma center standards

By Trauma News on November 16, 2022 System Leadership

The American College of Surgeons (ACS) is seeking input from the trauma community on the Level IV trauma center standards that are included in the 2014 edition of Resources for Optimal Care of the Injured Patient.

According to the ACS, the Committee on Trauma (COT) will use the input to revise and improve its standards for Level IV centers.

Input is being captured via a survey available here: ACS Level IV Standards Comments Survey.

Trauma stakeholders can comment on any chapters in the 2014 standards that include Level IV requirements. Commenters will be able to indicate whether individual standards should be retained as requirements and whether they are clear enough to implement. Stakeholders can also provide input on potential new standards and other topics they think should be considered by the COT.
