Nominations now open for 2022 Distinguished TCRN Award

By Trauma News on February 7, 2022 News Updates

Do you know a certified trauma nurse who deserves to be recognized by the trauma community? Nominate him or her today for the 2022 Distinguished TCRN Award.

The Distinguished TCRN Award is presented annually by the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN) to a Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN®) who demonstrates clinical excellence and professionalism.

New in 2022, the BCEN has introduced a streamlined process that makes nomination easier than ever. All you need are:

  • Your nominee’s name, email address, title and place of employment
  • A brief statement of why you believe the nominee exemplifies the clinical excellence and professionalism of a TCRN

Nominations will be accepted through February 28, 2022 (until 11:59 p.m. U.S. Central time).

To nominate a colleague or yourself for the 2022 Distinguished TCRN award, visit the BCEN nomination page.

The BCEN is also accepting Distinguished Award nominees for its Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN®), Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN®), Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN®) and Certified Transport Registered Nurse (CTRN®) programs.

“BCEN’s Distinguished Awards recognize the contributions of specialty certified nurses across the emergency spectrum,” said Janie Schumaker, MBA, BSN, RN, CEN, CENP, CPHQ, FABC, chief executive officer of BCEN. “Honoring their dedication to patient care and commitment to specialty excellence has never been more important.”

The winner of the Distinguished TCRN Award and other BCEN award honorees will be announced in April.

All honorees will receive a commemorative Distinguished Award pin (new in 2022). Pandemic permitting, all winners will be honored later this year with an in-person celebration at their workplace.
